CREATIVE ARTS

drama

At  CCC Church, we believe in using drama to reach out to communicate truth in a fresh and creative way. We also believe that drama can play a valuable role in the lives of believers at CCC. The people who are involved in our drama ministry attend CCC on a regular basis. They feel gifted and called by God to use their gifts to serve our congregation through drama.

How Do I Get Connected?

For actors, auditions are required for involvement on the drama team. The audition process begins with an open audition that occurs approximately once a quarter. For the first audition, participants do not need to prepare material. They will participate in theatre games, improvisations and short scene readings that will serve to assess dramatic ability and communication skills. Following the audition, participants may be invited back to a callback audition. The whole audition process for the drama ministry may take several months.

Drama Workshop/Auditions will be held quarterly. Check back here to find out about upcoming audition dates.

Periodically, CCC’s Drama Team offers a FREE acting workshop for all interested parties 18 and older. (Childcare not provided).

This workshop is designed to be a fun and educational experience as well as an opportunity for attendees to showcase their talent. You will participate in theatre games, scene improvisations and cold readings of short sketches — all of which will be provided by our team. You do not need to bring any materials or prepared monologues.

Video

In addition to live drama and comedy, we also have a talented team of staff and volunteer videographers, to create quality video support for the various ministries. Classes in camera work and editing are given on a quarterly basis for those who want to become skilled volunteers.

Other Media

We always need skilled writers, graphic designers and set, prop, costume, lighting and sound craft persons. If you have an interest in any of these areas and are able to commit to our meeting schedule, please contact us to set up an interview. Writers should prepare at least one 2 to 3 page sketch. Graphic designers should include samples of their work.
